In March I was asked to take part in Mothership, a parenting roundtable show made for the Nurture Channel. The theme of the discussion was how divorce affects children.
I hope you enjoy it and would like to hear your thoughts and experiences in the comments.

How divorce effects children, gives good advice. I certainly think depending on the child’s age, what happens after the divorce/separation all depends on how the child/children feel and think. My daughter is 9 now and was 7 when we spilt up. She has asked lots and lots of questions especially now that her dad has had another baby with his new partner. It’s as you said making sure the child knows that they are loved by both parents no matter what happens.
Definitely. Single parents can get a lot of bad press and blame for a lot of society’s ills, maybe a better distinction to make is between good and bad parenting.
